WHAT WE DO

PROGRAMS & PROJECTS
The Robert Lee Wilson Foundation has several programs and projects that aim to provide families in need with nourishing meals throughout the holiday season. Our mission is to ensure that no family goes hungry during this time of the year, and we strive to achieve this through various initiatives.

School Lunch Accounts Payoff
According to School Lunch Debt Statistics, 30.4 million students can’t afford their school meals in the US. The average cost of breakfast and lunch in elementary schools in the DFW is about $5. The Board of Directors voted to support our community outside of the holidays by donating to Mitchell Elementary, a local Title 1 elementary. We paid off $1,000 in outstanding school account balances from the 2023-2024 school year to help bring their meal debt current just before the new school year!
